Description
What Will I Learn On This Course?
Learners will:
1. Be able to adjust at least 2 different settings on their camera independently to give the best results.
2. Experiment with exposure, focus and compositions in a studio situation to produce at least 3 images.
3. Compose at least 1 photograph using the rule of thirds.
4. Create at least 1 long exposure using flash guns and lights.
You will work on creating a short portfolio of photos to be presented during the end of the course.

Please be aware that whilst this course is practical in nature some sessions will include theory and professional related training such as H&S, risk assessments, public liability etc

Please bring to the first session
• Preferably a digital SLR camera (the course may be suitable for those with compact digital cameras, however, they must have manual exposure controls and a lens with an optical zoom covering wide-angle to telephoto focal lengths and ideally a hot shoe.
• Instruction manual and leads
• Future lessons a tripod would be used during practical demonstrations.
• Note-pad
Some of your guided learning hours will be used to set the group and individual learning targets for the course. You will receive feedback from your Tutor to enable you to fully develop and progress.
Will There Be Additional Costs?
Please note the following costs are not included in the course fee:
Provide your own camera and tripod.
Digital printing and paper costs.

What Is The Attendance Policy?
Multiple sessions-
To get the most out of your course you will need to attend as many sessions as possible. We recommend at least 90%. If you do have a holiday booked during term time, please let the tutor know in advance so that we can help you catch up on missed sessions and ensure that you still achieve the course outcomes. If you are unavoidably ill or unable to attend, please contact 01634 338400 so that we can let your tutor know, and so they can send you any work you may have missed
