Description

Whether you would like to learn new creative skills or to investigate the possibility of a new textile-based career, MAE Community Learning courses can provide you with a stepping stone to progress


Join us for this relaxing and fun workshop where we will make a fabulous project and build on our sewing skills.

This enjoyable class will cover the planning, laying out, cutting and making up of a cute, little zipped bag that can be used for make-up or pencils or anything you like!
During the afternoon, you'll also learn some tricks of the trade to help with achieving a more professional finish and faster project completion.

You'll have the option to really personalise your designs to make something truly unique that you'll be proud to take home.

  

What will I learn on this course?
Learners will: 1. Learn some basic machine skills including turning corners and backstitching 2. be able to complete a zip insertion 3. Learn our ‘box bag’ technique which can be easily adapted to make a multitude of sizes and shapes in the future

Attendance Policy
This is one session course- please attend for the duration of the lesson. If you enrol and then cannot attend please inform us as soon as possible so that your place can be given to someone else.

How are digital skills used and enhanced on this course
Information technology may be used to introduce skills, techniques, and the work of other artists along with safe internet usage. Whilst you do not need any IT skills to enrol on this course, please do speak to the tutor if this is an area you would like to explore.
