Course Description
Whether you would like to learn a gardening skill or to investigate the possibility of a new horticulture career, MAE Community Learning courses can provide you with a stepping stone to progress
Join us for this relaxing and fun workshop where we will learn about roses; how and when to prune.
You will be welcomed into the studio by our professional gardening tutor, who will guide you step by step through the process and give invaluable insider knowledge.
All materials are included in this great workshop, and you will leave with your own set of secateurs and a rose bush to take home and plant.
You may wish to bring your own gardening gloves.
Please do not buy tools and equipment until you know that the course will run.
What will I learn on this course?
Learners will:
1. Demonstrate how to prune at least 1 rose bush.
2. Understand when to prune a rose bush and why.
3. Understand when not to prune a rose bush and why.

Suitable for new and seasoned gardeners.
Is there anything I need to know about the course?
This session will take place indoors but learners may with to bring their own gardening gloves.

Attendance Policy
In order to get the most out of your course you will need to attend as many sessions as possible. We recommend at least 85%. If you do have a holiday booked during term time please let the tutor know in advance so that we can help you catch up on missed sessions and ensure that you still achieve the course outcomes. If you are unavoidably ill or unable to attend please contact 01634 338400 so that we can let your tutor know, and so they can send you any work you may have missed
