Description
This is a level 2B course for those who have attended Drawing & Painting previously or who have some drawing and painting experience.
This course offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a foundational knowledge of painting and drawing to enhance their skills and techniques. Through hands-on classes and tutor-led demonstrations, participants will engage in both personal and group projects, allowing for the exploration of new media and the refinement of their artistic practice.
This is a drawing and painting course level 2B, upon completing this course, learners can progress onto Level 2C Painting and Drawing class but cannot redo this course at the same level or book onto lower-level courses (such as Drawing & Painting 1A, 1B or 1C). Learners can book onto any other Art specialism or Creative & Culture courses from 1A upwards.

What Will I Learn On This Course?
Learners will:
1. Develop your drawing ability using at least 2 different dry media
2. Develop your ability to translate the third dimension into a two-dimensional image using at least one of the following: perspective, light, shadow, working from still life, working from landscapes
3. Develop your ability to paint/work in at least 1 of the following: watercolour, acrylic, water based or traditional oils

Every opportunity is afforded to help you to develop your work no matter what your stage of ability. Overall, most people can draw in the same way people can write. It is dependant wholly on your aspirations and to what level you want to develop your chosen media, or you may be interested in experimenting and moving to pastures new.
Is There Anything Else I Need To Know About This Course?
Please be aware that whilst this course is practical in nature some sessions will include theory and professional related training such as H&S, risk assessments, public liability etc
Learners will need the following tools and equipment please do not purchase until you are sure the course will run:

Will There Be Additional Costs?
You will be provided with a basic sketch book. You tutor can guide you on materials and tools as the course progresses.

What Is The Attendance Policy?
Multiple sessions-
To get the most out of your course you will need to attend as many sessions as possible. We recommend at least 90%. If you do have a holiday booked during term time, please let the tutor know in advance so that we can help you catch up on missed sessions and ensure that you still achieve the course outcomes. If you are unavoidably ill or unable to attend, please contact 01634 338400 so that we can let your tutor know, and so they can send you any work you may have missed
