Description

This course is designed for adult learners who want to improve their practical maths skills for everyday life, work or further study. It focuses on building confidence in using maths in real-world situations, such as managing finances, interpreting data and solving problems.  

What will I learn on this course?
• working with numbers, fractions, decimals and percentages • understanding measurements, shapes and space • Handling and interpreting data using charts and statistics • Applying maths to practical scenarios like budgeting, planning and decision making.

Is this course suitable for me?
You need to be 19 years and over and have no GCSE 4/C or equivalent qualifications in Maths.

Is there anything I need to know about the course?
Before you begin your studies, an initial assessment will take place in order to help us to place you on the most suitable course. The qualification is equivalent to a GCSE grade 4 (C).

Will there be additional costs?
No additional costs. All materials will be provided

Attendance Policy
In order to get the most out of your course, you will need to attend as many sessions as possible. We recommend at least 90%. If you do have a holiday booked during term time, please let the tutor know in advance so that we can help you catch up on missed sessions and ensure that you still achieve the course outcomes. If you are unavoidably ill or unable to attend, please contact 01634 338400 so that we can let your tutor know and so they can send you any work you may have missed
