Description

Challenging behaviour is causing increasing concern today as many individuals have increasing levels of stress and uncertainty. This behaviour can be due to factors such as anxiety, neglect, abuse, learning disabilities and conditions like dementia.
Understanding the causes of challenging behaviour is the first step towards finding ways to support indiviuals and manage their behaviour.
You can:
Achieve a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification.
Improve your understanding of the reasons why individuals display behaiour that challenges and its impact.
Further you personal and professional development.
Learn to to support individual's effectively.
Learn at a time that suits you without the need to attend college.  

What will I learn on this course?
Understand behaviour that challenges. Understand how to support positive behaviour. Understand the importance of effective communication and the management of behaviour that challenges. Understand the role of reflection and support of those involved in incidents of behaviour that challenges.

Is this course suitable for me?
The objectives of this course include: Understanding the causes of challenging behaviour is the first steps in finding ways to support individuals and manage their behaviour. Develop an understanding of safeguarding. Develop an understanding of the importance of effective communication and the management of behaviour that challenges.

Attendance Policy
This course will need to be completed by the end date, which is in 12 weeks.

How are digital skills used and enhanced?
IT/ Digital skills are fully embedded within the course as this is an online course. The course is entirely delivered online. Learners will need to have access to a good internet connection and a computer. Learners will also need good IT skills. If learners are interested in developing their IT skills further, we have a number of Digital Skills courses available that may help. The courseware is a pdf booklet that learners will read and then learners can go onto the website and answer questions to demonstrate their understanding. Learners may wish to print the booklet, but this is not necessary.
